Mocean Canoes is pleased to accompany your new canoe with a three-year limited warranty to the original owner. You must fill in and submit the online registration form within 30 days of your purchase in order to activate the warranty.

If you realize a problem exists, please contact the retailer where you purchased your canoe, and they will be able to assist you with your claim.

The Mocean Canoes Warranty covers defective materials or workmanship for a period of three years when used as intended under normal conditions. The original warranty initiated by the original owner cannot be transferred to another person. The Mocean Canoes Warranty does not apply to rental fleets, outfitters, tour operators or other operations of this kind. Tour operators may refer to the Operator Warranty for information concerning their fleets. In addition, Mocean Canoes does not cover canoes that are altered or modified in any way from the original state of manufacture when purchased. Every claim must be accompanied by the original bill of sale. All warranty claims will be subject to an investigation by Mocean Canoes, and they may repair or replace the defective product at their discretion, determining whether the problem is a result of defective materials or workmanship or the result of misuse or accident above and beyond the scope of the warranty. Photos accompanying the damaged part of the canoe may be requested to ensure an accurate evaluation during the investigation.

If a canoe is deemed to be blemished and is sold as a blemished quality product, the warranty is still in place except for the blemish itself. The customer is responsible for any return transportation, freight and packaging charges for warranty claims.

The following are never covered under warranty:

• Normal wear and discoloration
• Damage from misuse or abuse from hitting objects and improper maintenance.
• Damage from extreme weather (including UV rays) or environmental conditions.
• Damage form improper transportation or storage of the canoe.
• Damage caused by any alterations to the canoe and or original parts.
• Any canoe designated as “demo”.
• Canoes used for promotional, commercial or rental purposes.
• Freight damage

The original invoice is the proof of purchase for your warranty claim and without it, Mocean Canoes reserves the right to determine whether the canoe is covered under warranty.

Paddle sports can be very dangerous and is a physically demanding activity. The paddler should understand the inherent risks, which may involve injury or even death. The paddler acknowledges the risk involved and that Mocean Canoes is not liable for any injury or harm inflicted upon the paddler while using a Mocean Canoe product.

Please reference the following guidelines for a safer experience:

• Always wear an approved PFD (personal flotation device). Please refer to local regulations.
• Always carry first aid, safety and rescue equipment.
• Never paddle alone, no matter how experienced you are.
• Tell someone your itinerary and expected duration of your paddle.
• Check the weather and water conditions before paddling.
• Get instructions as to the operation of this specific boat and never exceed your paddling ability.
• Practice rolling the boat and making a reentry.
• Never use alcohol or drugs prior or during paddling.
• Thoroughly check over the boat before paddling - look for signs of wear or broken equipment.
• Dress appropriately for weather conditions: Cold weather or water can result in hypothermia and hot weather and strong sun can result in sun stroke and dehydration.
• Always carry supplies lasting longer than the expected duration of your journey.
• Understand tidal currents, river currents, obstructions and where to launch.
• Consult your physician before paddling.
